IN GENERAL...
All living beings have three vital function: nutrition, interaction and reproduction. In the nutrition function in the heterotrophic there are:
1-Saprophitic or decomposers: they obtain the nutrients os the enviroment.
2-Symbiosis: they obtain the nutrients of other living beings and benefit them.
3-Parasitic: they obtain the nutrients of other living beings and cause illnesses or diseasses.
IN THE KINGDOM OF FUNGI...
This weekend I have been in Coca and as it is autoumn, there are a lot of damp placces in the woods. There I found a pine from a tree with a mushroom. Here it is the picture.
Which type of relation can I find here?
1-Saprophitic: they obtain the nutrients of the enviroment.
2-Symbiosis: they obtain the nutrients of other living beings and benefit them. A example is the lichen that is a symbiosis between the algae and the fungi, the algae give the nutrients for the fungi and the fungi give a aqueous enviroment for the algae.
3-Parasitic: they obtain the nutrients of other living beings and cause illnesses or diseasses
In this case the fungi get substances from the pine and decompose. The relation is saprophitic.
